Recently, Junior Pheniker Vu Thanh An – 3B2 and his teammates demonstrated their competitive spirit, focus, and resilient determination, contributing to the Team Gold Medal and bringing pride to Vietnam as the red flag with a yellow star was raised on the podium at the 27th Asian Youth Chess Championship – 2025.
Participating in the tournament, Thanh An not only learned and competed against talented young people from many nations but also experienced a professional competitive environment that requires maximum focus and patience, creating a solid foundation for future intellectual challenges.

Previously, in October 2025, chess player Vu Thanh An excellently achieved 35th place in the Boys U8 category at the 2025 World Youth Chess Championship. And in June 2025, at the 2025 National Youth Chess Championship, Thanh An made a brilliant impression with: Champion in the Blitz Chess category, and Silver Medal in the Rapid Chess category.
More than just a personal achievement, this victory reflects Phenikaa School’s comprehensive educational orientation: besides academic knowledge, Phenikers are also trained in thinking skills, discipline, sportsmanship, and the ability to confidently conquer international arenas.

Additional Information: The 2025 Asian Youth Chess Championship took place from November 20 to 30 in Bangkok, Thailand, gathering 697 chess players from 33 national federations. This is one of the largest youth tournaments in the region, bringing together talents from U8 to U18 age groups. This year’s tournament gathered over 697 chess players from 33 countries, making it one of the region’s largest youth intellectual arenas for ages U8 to U18.
